Recital will feature Music for organ by Dietrich Buxtehude and Music for violin and organ by Josef Rheinberger.

Maximillian Esmus is the Director of Music at Grace Episcopal Church in Haddonfield, New Jersey, where he conducts adult and youth choirs and accompanies services on the organ and piano. He is the Artistic Director of the Haddonfield Center and School for the Performing Arts, a non-profit organization that presents an eclectic concert series and educational programming in the arts. Max teaches courses in choral conducting and directs the University Women’s Chorus at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Max holds a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Rowan University, where he was assistant conductor of the Statesmen Men’s Chorus and the Women’s Chorus. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in music theory and composition (summa cum laude) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Max is the pianist of the Greater South Jersey Chorus, and regularly accompanies student recitals, school choirs, and community musical productions.

 

Diego Villamil Gomez holds a B.A. in Violin Performance from the National University of Colombia, and a M.M. in Violin Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. As a violinist, he has played with the main symphony orchestras of Mississippi, including Meridian Symphony Orchestra, Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and Gulfport Symphony Orchestra. In addition, Diego has been concertmaster of the USM Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia. As a teacher, Diego is part of the Rowan Prep and Music School of Delaware faculty, as well as orchestral and chamber music coach at the Rowan Youth Orchestra, Rowan Youth String Orchestra, Mississippi Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Southern Mississippi Youth Orchestra, and the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia. Currently, he is pursuing a second Master’s degree from Rowan University with Dr. Timothy Schwarz.
